Bedroom Ring Clock

I have a hard time waking up in the morning. So I built this wall clock which begins illuminating my room before I need to wake up to simulate a sunrise.

The idea came to me when I saw a clock design in the background a lofi hip hop video.

In the video there was clock which consisted of a 7-segment display and a glowing border. Browsing through thingiverse I found this design for a 7-segment display clock.

I used this design as the base for my build and got to work designing an outer ring. The outer ring was 3D printed with a laser cut wood over the top. The inner surface of the ring contains RGB LEDs while the outer surface contains two strips of white LEDs; warm and cool. The whole thing was wired up and fed into a control box which contained an Arduino, clock module and transistors. There was also a button pad which came out from the control box and allowed for adjusting the alarm time and the colour of the display.
